Lift Kits & Leveling Kits

A lift kit is an aftermarket vehicle modification that lifts either the vehicle's body or the suspension. This increases the vehicle's ride height and allows you to install taller tires. There are two types of lift kits: body lifts and suspension lifts.

Body lift kits are a less expensive option that only lifts the body from the frame. It uses blocks or spacers and can increase the height from 1 to 3 inches. They do not increase ground clearance but can allow for slightly taller tires because of the added height around the wheel wells. Also, a lift kit does not change or improve the suspension or increase travel.

Suspension lift kits are more expensive but have added benefits. It raises the vehicle's suspension by replacing the front and rear leaf springs and shocks. It can produce better handling results, increase a vehicle's height from 4 to 6 inches or higher, and accommodate much larger tires.

Leveling kits remove the downward front rake manufacturers put on all trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps. These kits are added to the suspension, making the front of your vehicle level with the rear suspension and giving it a more even stance. The benefits are that they are inexpensive and allow for larger wheels and tires.
